General Statement of Duties:
The Student Life Assistant supports student life activities, including but not limited to, assisting with events, various administrative tasks, event marketing, processing of student photo IDs, and assisting students as needed. The Student Life Assistant must also be physically capable of lifting heavy boxes, standing for extended periods, and performing various tasks as directed.
This position is part-time, 18 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for student life;
- Facilitate events as scheduled;
- Provide access to Monty's Market (Food Pantry) after as needed;
- Create and distribute marketing materials for events;
- Process student photo ID requests;
- Provide administrative support to the Student Life Office;
- Prep and distribute signage for upcoming events;
- Assist with special projects and initiatives;
- Provide oversight of the Student Lounges/Student Center;
- Greet students as they arrive to events;
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent credential;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Proficient with Office 365;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment;
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs), stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks as required;
- Motivated and flexible with the ability to switch tasks frequently to meet project deadlines;
- Willingness to take direction, learn new skills, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in student activities, event planning, or building management;
- Familiarity with Canva;
- Customer service experience and the ability to interact professionally with students, colleagues, and the community;
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently on tasks.

Salary: $18.00 per hour
