"Teacher Education Instructor, part-time [Pool Posting]"

Our leader-educators, practitioners, and human service professionals share our commitment to serving society responsibly as change agents in meeting diverse human and social needs.

The number of Teacher Education courses offered each semester is dependent on student demand. The need may include both graduate and undergraduate courses in Teacher Education.

The successful applicant will bring strong qualifications both academically and professionally.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses on campus and/or online.
2. Contribute to the instructional mission of the Teacher Education Department and Patton College of Education.
3. Use online learning management system (Blackboard and/or Canvas) for academic engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in the field of education (for undergraduate-level courses) or terminal degree in the field of education (for graduate-level courses)
2. Experience teaching students
3. Experience using technology for teaching

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Current or prior teaching license in area
2. Relevant and recent Pre K-12 classroom-based experience
3. Demonstrated knowledge of theory and research-supported best practices for teaching and learning
4. Experience facilitating professional development
5. Evidence of professional training or attendance and/or presentations at conferences
6. Ability to deliver online instruction
