SUMMARY Adjunct faculty to teach courses in the academic departments of Art, Biology, Chemistry, Classics, Drama, Economics, Education, English, History, Math, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Physics, Politics, Psychology, and Theology. For the Fall 2024 semester and beyond, we are particularly seeking to hire faculty to teach in the following areas. The courses listed under a given area will likely be in particular need of faculty. Biology • Laboratory courses in Anatomy • Laboratory courses in Physiology • Laboratory courses in Microbiology Chemistry • Laboratory courses in Organic Chemistry Classics • First- or second-year courses in Latin • First- or second-year courses in Greek Economics • ECO 3340 Money, Banking, and Financial Markets English • ENG 1301: Literary Tradition I • ENG 1302: Literary Tradition II History • HIS 1312 American Civilization II • HIS 2302 Western Civilization II Spanish • MSP 1301 First Year Spanish I • MSP 1302 First Year Spanish II • MSP 2311 Second Year Spanish I Physics • General Physics I and II • Laboratory courses in General Physics Politics • POL 1311: Principles of American Politics PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate students. • Invite, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussion. • Evaluate and grade student coursework. • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records. • Communicate with students to provide necessary guidance and assistance. • Participate in meetings pertinent to faculty responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in teaching area (for teaching undergraduate-level courses). • Earned doctorate degree in disciplinary field (for teaching graduate-level courses).
