2 Postdoctoral Associate (David Pine)
Description
We have two postdoctoral positions available in the research group of Prof. David Pine involving research projects on optical properties of materials made by the controlled self-assembly of amorphous patchy colloids. The research builds on the recent advances for making colloidal diamond crystals from tetrahedral patchy colloids, a unique kind of colloidal particle developed in our research group [see Nature 585, 524–529 (2020)]. The work to be performed will include some combination of colloidal synthesis, self-assembly and optical measurements that can be adapted to the applicants’ background and interests. Applications from materials chemists with a background in colloids, physicists, chemical engineers, or related disciplines are invited.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $65,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
