 Valley City State University invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor for Music Faculty position in Piano/Collaborative Piano

The candidate selected will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in class piano and applied piano on the expertise of the candidate and the needs of the Music Department. The selected candidate will also be responsible for organization of the collaborative pianist duties, including performances as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Music
• Strong desire to teach, knowledge of teaching methods and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with others in a collegial and collaborative manner 

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano or related field

Compensation:

The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and typically ranges from $47,000 - $52,000 annually pending experience and qualifications. This position is a 9-month, full-time position. In some cases, summer duties may be arranged through an additional contract.
