Job Summary 

The Instructor is responsible for teaching NCCER CORE, NCCER Welding level 1 to Level 4 as assigned. Instructor will provide instruction on a schedule developed by the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Department. The instructor will report to the Executive Director for Workforce Development and Continuing Education. They must comply with departmental policies and complete other duties as assigned. This course will be taught in a federal prison location.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and see. Frequently the employee is required to sit, lift, push, bend, stoop, climb, pull and carry objects in excess of 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications 

Certified NCCER instructor for CORE and Welding.

Safety is of utmost importance while teaching craft skills. There are hazards presented when teaching NCCER courses.

Preferred Qualifications 

NCCER Teaching experience in CORE, Welding.

Work experience in welding.

Salary Commensurate with experience

Work Hours 8 am -5 pm Monday - Friday
