The Department of Music at SWOSU seeks qualified individuals to serve as adjunct instructors for teaching GE, academic music coursework, collaborative piano, and / or applied lessons in instrument of specialty. This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as sections become open at any point in the current academic year. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of adjuncts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Teaching GE or Applied Lessons in area of specialty
2. Weekly office hours appropriate to course load
3. Assessing student outcomes
4. Participating in departmental assessment

Education and ExperienceEducation and Experience

1. A graduate degree in Music or a related field is required. Master’s degree adjunct are paid at a rate of $615/contact hr; Master’s degree + 30 hours at $715/contact hour; PhD at $950/contact hour.
2. Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
3. Quality Matters certification preferred.
4. Video performance recordings are required.
