  • HEO 5 Base Salary $89,755 - $100,495 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching and Curriculum Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support within the School of Economics. Under the general direction of the Teaching and Curriculum Lead this role will support the delivery of in-semester tests, assist with timetabling, maintain essential databases, and contribute to student-facing events and activities.

This is a campus based role requiring at least three days on site. Some work outside core hours, including occasional weekends, may also be required.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • coordinate in-semester tests and assessments, including scheduling, managing special considerations and ensuring the confidentiality and security of exam materials
  • assist with timetabling for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
  • maintain and update databases and contact lists to support learning and teaching operations
  • collaborate with colleagues across the School, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and University administration to meet operational objectives
  • respond to enquiries from staff and students and liaise with central teams to resolve matters.

About you

  • Strong communication skills and familiarity with University systems related to curriculum and teaching administration
  • Demonstrate strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office specifically MS Excel
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with a focus on process improvement and service delivery
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks in a high-volume environment
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships
  • A sound understanding of policies and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately
  • A willingness to work flexible hours to support various student assessments and recruitment campaigns.
