FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Nursing at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Nursing (Medical-Surgical Nursing for LPN to RN Bridge Program). Student advisement, committee participation, and scholarly activity required.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D., degree in area (s) of experience or equivalent. Prior teaching experience in an academic setting recommended; knowledge of and commitment to Associate Degree Nursing Education and curriculum development. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.

Also required is the abiltiy to teach successfully, demonstrate scholarship or achievement, and cooperate with others for the good of the insitution.

D.N.P., strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION

$72,667 - $82,928, Salary commensurate with education and experience.
