Technical IBE Projects Lead, Integrated Business Engineering, Systems and Industrial Engineering
Position Highlights
The Technical IBE Projects Lead for the Bachelor of Science in Integrated Business Engineering (IBE) coordinates and provides oversight and administrative support for all aspects of the program's project courses. Being a project-based program, this is an integral role for the success of the students and of the IBE program. Working directly for the IBE Program Director, the Technical IBE Projects Lead works with internal university individuals as well as external industry and non-profit partners to arrange and manage robust projects to fulfill the IBE students' curricular needs.
This position requires innovative thinking, personal initiative, customer focus, and an understanding of the academic needs of the students and the program. This role is essential for keeping projects organized and on track by ensuring that workflow, resources, and communication are managed efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities
Program Development, Curriculum Alignment, and Academic Partnerships
- Lead the project-based learning experience.
- Design and improve the curriculum road map for the IBE program.
- Ensure alignment of course materials to degree requirements, requisites, and objectives as communicated by stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance across the IBE program and conduct annual assessment of learning objectives and outcomes for programmatic reviews.
- Oversee and track projects to ensure completion and reporting back to project sponsors.
- Manage project paperwork, maintain project files, prepare proposals, and support report writing.
- Facilitate the partnership between two colleges to successfully run the program.
- Work with cross-college faculty and department heads to seamlessly translate industry needs to meet academic programs for the IBE program.
- Support student recruitment efforts.
- As needed, may instruct seminars/courses.
Experiential Learning and Project Coordination
- Design the experiential projects for students to meet learning outcomes.
- Oversee the scope, formation and deliverable for the projects to be assigned to students.
- Coordinate industry advisors for projects in conjunction with the Program Director and the Department Heads.
- Coordinate with project advisors to ensure project timelines are being met and that projects meet or exceed the academic standards for the course and the program.
- Create a pipeline of partnerships outside of the UA to secure real world project partners.
- Work with internal and external customers and organizations to coordinate and arrange relevant and innovative projects to the IBE students in their project-based courses.
- Coordinate with university organizations to ensure projects are aligned with university guidelines and initiatives and are mutually supporting.
Industry Partnerships, Advisory Board Coordination, and Academic Support
- Identify, recruit, and sustain relationships with industry leaders, start-ups, and employer leaders to facilitate/guest speak courses.
- Act as the advisory board liaison advising on university academic policies/resources.
Program Development, Donor Relations, and Strategic Funding
- Assist in securing funding/strategic development of the program for future growth.
- Communicate and coordinate with the UA Foundation and the Development Offices for both the College of Engineering and the Eller College of Management for possible donor funding of projects.
- Communicate through the UA Foundation and the Development Offices for both the College of Engineering and the Eller College of Management to report back to donors about the status and the success of donor-supported projects.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly prefer backgrounds in engineering and/or business.
