Job Summary:

Reporting to the assigned leader within the Dean's office, the Technical Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of the clinical education components of the applicable program including evaluation and progression of students' clinical performance, orientation of clinical and capstone field internship site personnel to program requirements, and assignment of students to clinical and field internship sites. This position is also responsible for recruiting students, managing clinical scheduling, coordinating clinical education experiences, and maintaining program accreditation and Texas Department of State Health Services reporting and record keeping.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
• Coordinates clinical education for the assigned program
• Ensures documentation of student progression to and achievement of key competencies
• Supports strategic plans, student learning outcomes assessment, program reviews, and curriculum revisions
• Orients clinical and capstone field internship site personnel to the programs and accreditation requirements
• Coordinates the assignment of students to clinical and field internship sites
• Recruits students and provides program information to prospective and current students
• Schedules clinical and practical sites; assists in coordinating faculty clinical site coverage
• Serves as a liaison to practical and clinical sites, identifying new sites and maintaining relationships with current sites; maintains clinical site contracts and compliance documentation
• Assists with required reports for state and accrediting bodies; assists with coordinating and hosting accreditation site visits
• Implements any required changes from accrediting bodies
• Assists and coordinates compliance with accreditation and assessment efforts
• Assists with scheduling and organizing advisory committee meetings, provides support to the industry chair; provides clinical documentation for committee review and approval
• Recruits industry professionals for advisory roles

Service Excellence
• Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the Essential Performance Requirements
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned leader within the Dean's office

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or an equivalent combination of education and working experience
• Long Term Care Program only:
a. Current Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) Certification, and
b. Current Nursing Certification or current Health Sciences Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in healthcare-related field
• At least (3) years as a Licensed Nursing Facilities Administrator (LFNA) and Administrator in Training (AIT) Preceptor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of higher education policies, principles, trends, and organizations
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
• Skilled in oral, electronic, and written communications
• Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
• Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
• Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
