The Institute of Art and Design is pleased to announce the recruitment for a tenure-track assistant professor as follows. Your application or recommendation of suitable candidates will be appreciated.
Work content and job description
The candidate will be responsible for promoting Japanese art, recruiting international students, and enhancing international exchange as well as education and research in the field of Art, Design or Heritage Studies, and administrative duties at the University of Tsukuba, including intra-university management. (In principle, there will be no change in the job description during the period of employment.)
Teaching courses
Courses to be taught both in Japanese and English include: Courses related to the field of successful candidates in the School of Art and Design. Courses in master's and doctoral degree program related to the field of the successful candidate’s specialties. Others.

- Working hours: 08:30-17:15
- Break time: 12:15-13:15
- Holidays: Sundays, Saturdays, National holidays, and Dec. 29 through Jan. 3
- Overtime and other explanations: Fixed working Days/hours Monday-Friday 8:30-17:15, Discretionary labor system for specialized work applied. If the employee agrees to the Discretionary Labor System for Professional Work, Days on which employees engaged in work are considered to have been worked 7 hours and 45 minutes a day, in principle.

- Contract period: Nontenured-Tenure-track
