Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Community Psychology
Job Description
The Department of Psychology welcomes applications for a tenure-track faculty position (open rank) in the field of Community Psychology to begin in Fall 2026.
The Department currently offers an advanced undergraduate track and a Master of Arts in Community Psychology with a strong focus on community-based and experiential learning. The candidate would teach theoretical and skills-building courses, potentially including undergraduate and graduate community psychology theory; graduate-level program evaluation or prevention and intervention; undergraduate special topics courses in their specialization; and other introductory or methodology courses. The candidate would be expected to be involved in Master's theses supervision and consultation, and to develop and maintain community partnerships. The candidate should also conduct research, pursue grant funding, and play an active role in the department, the school, and university service activities.
Preferred and Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in Community Psychology or a related field. Successful candidates should have an ongoing program of research and publication, have strong leadership capability or potential, and skills or potential in high-quality teaching. Candidates with research interests that are relevant to the region and show intradisciplinary or interdisciplinary links are preferred. Candidates with experience in and familiarity with the North American higher education system are preferred.
