Position Summary

The Hayward Field Trades Maintenance One position works in the Athletic Facilities unit, predominantly at Hayward Field. Responsibilities include facility maintenance tasks (painting, plumbing repairs, mechanical repairs, carpentry repairs, minor electrical), grounds maintenance, event set-up/tear-down/support, and janitorial needs.

Special Requirements

Qualify for and maintain a UO driver's certification
Willingness to work a flex./irregular work schedule and as a member of the Essential Services Team
Must obtain UO Forklift Certification within 90 days of employment

Minimum Requirements

One year of experience working in facilities maintenance

Professional Competencies

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Computer skills for email communication
Clear verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of documented facility maintenance experience
One year of documented grounds or janitorial maintenance
Experience with event set-up/tear-down
Forklift, scissor lift or boom lift experience
