"Training & Consultation Specialist"

Position Summary

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Training & Consultation Specialist for the Crisis Services – National Call Center Department within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. Provides training and consultation services, curriculum development, and technical assistance consistent with departmental goals and objectives.

Key Duties:

• Provides training and consultation services, curriculum development and technical assistance in assigned project areas.
• Provides effective and efficient overall management and supervision of designated project areas.
• Supports goals and objectives of University Behavioral Health Care, and SAMHSA CMHC Grant.
• Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
• Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Master's Degree in Education, Mental Health, Social Sciences, or related discipline plus two (2) years of experience in consultation and/or training. At least one (1) year of experience in each of the following: training mental health professionals, providing technical assistance, and curriculum development required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent, prolonged standing, sitting, walking, speaking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Ability to lift or exert up to 25 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office and training environments. Moderate noise.
