Job Description
Wharton's Impact, Value, and Sustainable Business Initiative (Wharton Impact) is looking to hire Undergraduate Research Assistants with Bloomberg skills and a keen interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. We are looking for students to work part-time (5-10 hrs/wk) during the autumn term, with the option to extend into the spring if mutual interest between RA and supervisor. The UG Research Assistant will help to query data from the Bloomberg terminals to help build a dataset for use in sponsored research. You may be asked to download annual or sustainability reports, annual or quarterly filings, or other information. By nature of needing access to a Bloomberg terminal, all work for this role will be done on Penn's campus (most likely in the Lippincott library). Access to the library due to school affiliation is a plus.
Requisite skills and interests for competitive Research Assistant(s) candidates:
- Familiarity and experience with Bloomberg a must
- Facility with Excel
- Good organization and communication skills
- Background in business/ firm research a plus but not needed
- Interest in Sustainable Business, Corporate Impact, or Stakeholder Management
- Python skills a plus if interested in continuing on to the next phase of the project, but are not required for this role.
This role is open to undergraduate students only and is a great fit for Wharton students majoring in finance or accounting. This role is work-study eligible, feel free to inquire during the interview process.
