Are you ready to lead a bold transformation in end-user technology?
We’re seeking a visionary User Technology Engineering Lead to drive the modernisation of our end-user computing estate. This is a pivotal role within our transformation programme, focused on delivering a secure, scalable, and user-centric technology experience for staff and students.
You’ll lead the technical delivery of a modern endpoint management strategy, replacing legacy practices with cutting-edge solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, and SCCM. Working closely with colleagues across Data and Technology Services (DTS), you’ll ensure our device estate is not only technically robust but also delivers outstanding customer experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of modern endpoint services, including zero-touch provisioning and automation.
- Oversee the configuration and integration of platforms like Intune, Jamf Pro, and SCCM.
- Collaborate across IT, security, and service delivery to align technology with organisational goals.
- Inspire and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure secure, efficient, and user-focused device management across Windows and macOS environments.
Candidates should have
- Track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects in a multi-platform environment, ideally within higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and user-focused device management solutions
- Extensive hands-on experience configuring and managing endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and Jamf Pro, across both Windows and macOS environments.
Why Join Us?
This is more than a technical role, it’s a chance to lead a transformation that will shape how thousands of users interact with technology every day at one of the most prestigious Universities in the world. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team committed to innovation, inclusion, and service excellence.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
