Grade 7: Salary in the range of £39,424 - £47,779 per annum. This is inclusive of a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,730 per year. This is a full time, fixed term position until 31st July 2027.

The Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) is part of the Medical Sciences Division and is the largest European academic department in its field, running a globally competitive programme of research and teaching. The Kadoorie Institute for Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care brings together research across trauma, emergency care, and critical care. It designs and tests innovative treatments and care pathways that improve patient outcomes and deliver more efficient healthcare. The postholder will work within the Oxford Trauma research group which has a long-standing track record in trauma rehabilitation research.

About the Role

In this role you will contribute to the planning, co-ordination and completion of a randomised controlled trial which evaluates physiotherapy interventions in adult patients. You will work with the trial team (including the Chief Investigator, Trial Coordinator, and other administrative staff) to ensure that project is of high quality and delivered on time and within budget. This post involves developing interventions and intervention training materials and sessions to enable delivery across the NHS collaborating centres as well as training other health professionals at NHS collaborating centres to deliver the interventions within the context of a clinical trial.

About You

You must be a qualified Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council and be able to demonstrate experience of working as a physiotherapist in the National Health Service. You will have knowledge and clinical experience managing musculoskeletal/neurological conditions as well as experience of supervising and training clinical staff. Additionally, you will demonstrate a desire to develop experience and a portfolio in clinical research.
