2025/2026 Adjunct Lecturer - Healthcare Studies (ABH Program)
SUMMARY
SUNY Brockport invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty openings in the Department of Healthcare Studies (HCS) with primary responsibility in the Addictions & Behavioral Health (ABH) program.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Teaches courses in addictions and behavioral health or a related field.
- Reviews and plans course content as well as preparing all lesson plans.
- Evaluates student performance and provide feedback to enhance skill development.
- Infuses diversity issues into teaching, as pedagogically appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in a field related to addictions & behavioral health by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university
- Demonstrated experience in training/teaching and classroom management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses related to addiction, behavioral health, or a related topic
- Online and classroom teaching experience preferred
- Experience in student mentorship preferred
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits: Semester stipend $4,500 per 3 credit course or 3 credit course equivalent. May be benefits eligible. Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport.
