Job Summary
The Department of Population Health Leadership & Analytics (PHLA) invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to support the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program. This is a 9+3-month faculty appointment, with rank determined based on education and experience. The successful candidate will primarily teach graduate-level students and, depending on expertise, may teach across multiple graduate programs or support undergraduate courses within the department or School of Health Professions. The position includes active engagement in scholarship, publications, extramural funding, multidisciplinary research, teaching, service, student mentoring, and program recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level courses in healthcare policy, economics, management, and public health
- Mentor and advise MHA students, including supervision of internship, practicum, and capstone experiences
- Develop and sustain an independent and/or collaborative research program
- Engage in scholarly activities, including publications and pursuit of extramural funding
- Serve as a subject matter expert on research studies and provide support to collaborators
- Mentor junior investigators in research methods
- Participate in departmental, school, and university committees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in health services research, healthcare policy, health administration, or a closely related discipline
- Assistant Professor: Evidence of a strong research pipeline with publication potential
- Associate Professor: Evidence of a well-developed research portfolio, including prior funding and peer-reviewed publications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare delivery or population/public health practice setting
- Experience teaching in an online or hybrid learning environment
