Adjunct Instructor, English Language Learning

Job Summary

Reporting to the campus department instructional leader, adjunct instructors provide assistance to students in their learning process by utilizing all appropriate college resources, materials, facilities, and educational technologies available to complement the teaching and learning process providing a direct impact to student success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements

• Accepts and teaches classes based on varied schedules and modalities as assigned by designated supervisor
• Accommodates student needs and external stakeholders' expectations of the College
• Prepares and delivers instruction to students following the College Master Syllabus using the approved learning management system

Service Excellence

• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Required Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Communication OR Bachelor's degree or higher PLUS ONE of the following: a. A major or minor in one of the following disciplines: English, Education, Reading, Linguistics, TESOL b. Related teaching or training experience in ONE of the following: Communication, English, Education, Reading, ESL, ESOL c. Graduate hours in developmental education in ONE of the following: Communication, English, Education, Reading
