Suspension of Drexel University's Contribution into 403(b) Retirement Plan
As communicated on Oct. 10, Drexel University is suspending its contributions to employee retirement plans for calendar year 2025 as part of its multi-year plan to build financial resilience. Drexel is continuing to monitor the situation and will share updates as they become available for calendar year 2026.
LeBow College of Business and the Department of Sport Business
The Department of Sport Business is housed in the LeBow College of Business, an AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels. LeBow offers doctorate, MBA, and undergraduate degrees. The Department offers BSBA majors in Sport Business and Esport Business and an M.S. in Sport Business. The Philadelphia area offers an excellent variety of cultural opportunities, as well as a thriving business community.
Job Summary
The adjunct faculty member will employ a variety of strategies to foster student learning and discussions, and encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper course-related records, and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback as to the progress toward meeting the objectives of the course. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom settings. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively implementing the mission of the LeBow College of Business. Responsibilities may include teaching days, evenings, nights and weekends, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or a combination of both.
Essential Functions
- Instruct graduate and undergraduate courses in sport business
- Mentor and assist students in regard to careers in the sport industry
- Teach required number of credit hours per semester based on their contract
- Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes related to sport business knowledge and practice.
- Schedule two office hours per week for student availability, if applicable.
- Schedule administrative time for classroom preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal Degree (J.D. Ph.D.) and/or significant industry experience
