Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Support Services, incumbent will serve as an office lead for the Environmental Services department. Provides centralized administrative support, such as purchase requisitions, invoices, employee documentation and compliance reports, etc. Serves as a main contact for EVS co-workers, providing support and tracking of uniforms, time off requests, timekeeping, daily internal department communication, etc. Provides analytical support, conducts research, compiles and validates the integrity of data for department operational decisions and compliance. Utilizes a variety of complex databases, graphics, spreadsheets, and software applications to create reports, compile statistical data, and make recommendations for process improvements. Perform other routine administrative support as requested. Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, and analyze data and present results in a clear and concise format Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking skills
- Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of 2 years' experience performing administrative work functions in progressively more complex and analytical/support role within a healthcare environment/unit
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent computer skills and experience using MSOffice products, specifically Word and Excel
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to create and produce complex reports using computer programs such as Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint
- Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to manage multiple on-going assignments and successfully meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to independently research and confirm information, and perform search and document retrieval from a variety of sources
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Ability to act independently to solve problems and develop recommendations for approval
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
