Administrative Support Specialist - Contributing
The Graduate School oversees the operation of approximately 69 masters degree programs, 18 doctoral and first professional degree programs, and 77 graduate certificate programs with an enrolled student body of 5000 students. The Graduate School leads development and administration of the Universitys graduate programs by providing central support for graduate program marketing, recruiting, and admissions, by facilitating the development of new and existing programs, establishing and implementing effective academic policies, retaining and graduating high-quality graduate students, distributing resources strategically, assuring graduate program quality, encouraging and supporting graduate student scholarship and creative activity, and implementing efficient and effective best practices in support of graduate education. In support of this mission, the Graduate School administers an annual assistantship budget of $7.3 million and a tuition assistantship budget of $3.5 million.
Job Duties:
The Graduate School Receptionist greets all in-person visitors to the Graduate School, including faculty, staff, students, prospective students and their families, and other community stakeholders, and is responsible for all contacts to the general Graduate School phone number, voicemail, and email address. The Graduate School Receptionist also provides administrative support to the Graduate Schools admissions team and student support services team to ensure high-quality customer service for prospective and current students.
Minimum Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:
None
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
- Experience with key technologies, including customer relationship management systems (CRM), and social media platforms.
- Experience with university technological systems, including Banner, Xtender, ecuBIC reports, and SharePoint.
