Your opportunity
The Student Management Coordinator – Southern Cross Advance programs plays a key role in supporting the University’s Early Offer and High School programs. The position requires strong analytical and technical capability, with significant involvement in system testing, compliance activities, admissions reporting, and data analysis for key stakeholders.
Operating within a high volume, highly regulated environment, this role is expected to promote and embed a customer centric culture that consistently delivers accurate, compliant, and timely advice and outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role works closely with a broad range of internal stakeholders. Given that the Early Offer program represents one of the University’s largest admission pipelines, the successful candidate must be confident working with data and producing high quality reports and analytics to support decision making.
The role also provides operational support for the processing of domestic applications via the Tertiary Admissions Centres (TACs). Flexibility in availability is required during peak processing periods, particularly throughout the Early Offer and TAC cycles (December to January).
You will make an impact by:
- Leading the coordination of SCU’s Southern Cross Advance programs
- Providing operational support related to Tertiary Admission Centre application processing
- Coordination of statistical reports and data analysis across the Southern Cross Advance cohort to inform decision making
What you will bring
You’re a confident people leader who thrives in complex, service-driven environments. You enjoy supporting teams to do their best work, balancing operational demands with a strong focus on student experience, accuracy and continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
- A tertiary qualification with relevant experience, or extensive administrative experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising, training and supporting staff in a high-volume environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legislation, policy and data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and exercise sound judgement
It’s not essential, but we’d love it if you also bring experience working in higher education student administration or with student management systems. If you don’t have this experience but believe you’d be a great fit, we still encourage you to apply.
