A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Administrative Assistant for the Physical Therapy department on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position is for an innovative and dedicated individual to assist with administrative and office support for the DPT program and the Orthopedic and Neurologic Physical Therapy Residencies. This Administrative Assistant works closely and directly with the Program Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the program manager with all administrative duties related to the 4 physical therapy department programs (residential DPT, postprofessional DPT, Orthopedic Residency, Neurologic Residency) operations, including supporting faculty with administrative functions.
  • Serve as the primary AA for the Orthopedic and Neurologic Residencies, assisting the residency program directors with the management of admissions, purchasing, course management, and travel.
  • Assist the residency program directors with the management of student events and continuing education courses.
  • Assist the PM with planning and execution of student events and faculty retreats.
  • Managing incoming residential DPT students' admission requirements.
  • Assist PT Program Manager and Director of Curriculum in uploading information to, and maintaining, curriculum tracking software and database for accreditation and annual university and ASHS assessments and reports.
  • Manage the PT Department's repository of syllabi.
  • Process requests for payment of adjunct faculty for the virtual grand rounds (VGR) courses.
  • Other duties as assigned by the department chair.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Ability to work in a team, one-on-one, and individually.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture and working environment.
  • Proficiency with multiple software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro.
  • Experience with Examsoft and Canvas LMS.
  • Navigate various databases, including WebAdmit, ATSU admissions, and student management databases.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
  • Edit written communication.
  • Interact with faculty, students, and staff.
