The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) Interventional Cardiologist at the University of Washington Medical Center. The faculty appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank on the Clinical Practice Track. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. The anticipated start date will be August 1, 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally renowned Interventional Cardiology program with a culture of innovation and collaboration. The successful candidate will perform coronary interventional procedures in the catheterization lab and see patients in the outpatient clinic at University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake. The teaching activities of this position will include didactic and hands-on procedural teaching in the catheterization lab to cardiology and interventional fellows. The successful candidate will be expected to develop strong interpersonal skills necessary to build referral relationships throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. They will report to the Cardiology Service Chief at UW Medical Center and the Interventional Cardiology Section Head for the Division of Cardiology.

The base salary range for this position will be $20,000-$41,667 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), and incentive through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan.

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, scholarship and service.

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in interventional cardiology (or foreign equivalent) and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of research and publication.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
