Assistant/Associate Professor - Eukaryotic Cell/Molecular Biology/Genetics - Biological Sciences - Tenure Track
Job Description
- Establish and maintain an externally funded research program in molecular genetics of eukaryotic organisms, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students on research projects.
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in area of expertise. Potential courses include BIOS 1610 Molecular and Cellular Biology, BIOS 2500 General Genetics, and upper-level courses in area of expertise.
- Serve on departmental and University committees as appropriate.
Short Job Description (Qualifications)
- A doctoral degree in biological sciences from an accredited institution.
- Two years of relevant postdoctoral experience.
- Knowledge in biological sciences demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications.
- Evidence of ability to instruct a wide diversity of students.
