Assistant Director of Graduate Career Education
Reporting to the Associate Director of Career Development, the Assistant Director will coordinate activities that are a critical function to forward the School's goals for continued prominence in the information educational field.

- Manage policies, procedures and programs related to curricular or academic-based internships across the MSI and MHI degree programs.
- Provide leadership and mentorship for the Career Development Coordinator, graduate peer coaches and instructional aides.
- Provide individualized career coaching to UMSI students.
- Develop, and facilitate engaging career education events and programs for UMSI students.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience in a related field.
Minimum 2 years experience in a related role advising, coaching, counseling or coordinating programs for students.
Demonstrated experience with project management or planning of projects, or priorities.
Demonstrated proficiency with word document, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
Demonstrated experience and ability to work in a collaborative and open workspace.
The salary range for this position is $69,000 to $73,000. Salary is determined by direct relevant experience and demonstrated past performance results while ensuring equity on our team. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor agreement and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
Responsibilities include a 5% overload LEO Lecturer appointment. As a Lecturer at UMSI, you will provide instructional support for curricular-based internship courses, and co-instruct curricular-based career education courses. This lecturer position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
