Assistant Director of Student Involvement for Commuter Student Services
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, the Assistant Director of Student Involvement for Commuter Student Services serves as the dedicated leader of a comprehensive Commuter Student Services (CSS) program to increase engagement, academic and co-curricular success, and retention. This includes assessing/addressing the needs of commuters, and coordinating a variety of support services and programs, including oversight of the Campus Center's Student Lounge, CSS website, and communications. This position requires some evening and weekend hours while working primarily 9 am -5 pm onsite.
- Works closely with the Assistant Dean and partners with colleges to review and implement research-based strategies to enhance commuter retention and alumni engagement, and work with partners in the colleges and other areas.
- Advises the Commuting Students Association to develop an active commuter student body, gather feedback, enhance communication, and encourage frequent diverse programming.
- Recruits, trains and supervisors Commuter Assistants, undergraduate student staff hired to enhance commuter student engagement in the Rose Hill community.
