Job Duties:

The Department of Educational Studies (EDS) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking applicants for two(2) academic year (9-month) tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor or Assistant Professor with the start date of August 2026. We encourage applications from candidates with expertise in Early Childhood and Special Education. Come join a community of teacher/scholars committed to student success.

The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active, on-going program of scholarship appropriate to their discipline. In addition, faculty provide service to the department, college, university, community and/or professional organizations. Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.

School of Education faculty and instructional staff are expected to be engaged in service and scholarly activities that inform and enhance the work they do with prospective teachers. Some additional work hours outside the academic school year may be required in order to align duties with the K-12 school year.

The School of Education (SOE) is a leader in innovative, high-quality programs led by dedicated faculty and staff. As a fully accredited School, we partner with local, regional, and global educators to provide teacher candidates with rich, hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for exemplary professional practice.

We are committed to cultivating a welcoming and respectful environment where all students, faculty, and staff can thrive. Our programs emphasize inclusive teaching practices that support the success of every learner and foster a strong sense of belonging across our campus community.

The review of applications starts on November 14, 2025. Applications received on or before November 14th are prioritized and review will continue until the position(s) is/are filled. Initial interviews will be conducted virtually, with shortlisted candidates invited to campus.
