"Assistant Professor - Management of Organizations - Haas School of Business"

The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Management of Organizations with an expected start date of July 1, 2026.

The Management of Organizations group seeks to hire an individual with expertise in the macro side of management and/or organizational behavior. We are looking for candidates who conduct research on entrepreneurship and/or innovation. We are open to a wide range of theoretical traditions and methodological approaches but are especially interested in individuals whose work uncovers novel insights into the psychological or sociological mechanisms that drive behavior in organizations.

Basic qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) or be enrolled in a Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) granting program at the time of application.

Preferred qualifications: We are especially interested in applicants with a Ph.D. in Management, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, or other closely related fields. We prefer applicants who currently have a Ph.D. or who have advanced to Ph.D. candidacy and will complete the doctoral degree or equivalent degree within six months of the start date. Preference will be given to early career scholars (i.e., those who have not yet held a tenure-track position, or those who have only recently begun a tenure-track position within the last 1-3 years).

Salary range: The current salary range for this position is $107,100-$157,800 (9-month academic year salary); however, off-scale salary and other components of pay, which would yield compensation that is higher than this range, are offered to meet competitive conditions.
