Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages and Literature
Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages and Literature at Washington University’s School of Arts and Sciences. Position will teach Spanish language courses to undergraduate and graduate students, advise undergraduate and graduate students, Spanish majors and minors and study abroad students regarding their academic development as students and scholars. The position will also perform research and advisory and service roles in the department pertaining to the area of expertise, such as producing scholarly work, attending academic conferences in the field, serving on committees pertinent to the qualifications and roles as a teacher, researcher and instructor. A Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, Hispanic Studies or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) is required. Position also requires linguistic fluency in Spanish to effectively teach Spanish language courses.
