Position Description:
The School of Music at Baylor University seeks an engaging and collaborative educator who can excel at teaching undergraduate and graduate voice students. This full-time, tenure-track appointment will begin August 2026.

Appointment Date:
August 2026
Responsibilities:
- Teach applied voice at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Teach allied courses such as Song Literature, Diction, Vocal Pedagogy, or other subjects as assigned
- Maintain an active performance profile on and off campus
- Participate actively in Vocal Studies recruiting efforts and auditions
- Participate in School of Music and University service as appropriate
- Engage in significant professional and creative activities and/or research within the discipline, and contribute to the intellectual life and mission of Baylor University and the School of Music
Rank and Salary:
Full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Rank and salary competitive and commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
Master of Music degree required; Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred. Experience as a studio voice teacher at the collegiate level is required. Record of distinguished vocal performance on a national and/or international level is required. All School of Music faculty are expected to demonstrate commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for our students.

Applicants shall submit the following materials: Signed letter of application/cover letter, Curriculum Vitae (include student achievements), Unofficial transcript of highest academic degree earned, Link to a 30-minute video of voice teaching, ideally with a college-aged student, including vocalizing and repertoire work, Links to recent performance videos featuring a variety of repertoire and totaling about 20 minutes in length, Complete contact information (address, phone, and email) for three professional references – please note that three recommendation letters may later be requested from candidates who advance to the video interview phase, Applicants will also complete the Religious Affiliation Form in Interfolio. Active review of applications will begin on October 6, 2025 and will continue until the position is filled. Nothing received after December 31, 2025 can be considered. Preference may be given to those who apply by October 6. Following initial review, applicants who advance in the search process may be asked to send additional materials.
