REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Is directly accountable and responsible to the appropriate Assistant Dean and the Dean of AEAT (Automation, Energy, & Advanced Technologies)
Benefits
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary based on directly related experience and education. This is a nine-month, full-time, special non-tenure track position.

9 month + 4 weeks - $51,774 - $64,718
9 month + 6 weeks - $53,760 - $67,200
9 month + 12 weeks - $60,286 - $75,358

Position Description & Details
Are you a leader in construction management and eager to share your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of professionals? Join our team as an Assistant Teaching Professor in Construction Management! This dynamic role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students while shaping the future of the construction industry.
Position Summary: This position will be responsible for supporting student success through the preparation and delivery of construction management education. Areas of focus will include construction safety, diagrams, building modeling, estimating, project management, surveying, construction contracts and law, as well as construction methods, materials, and equipment. The role emphasizes practical, hands-on applications of construction management principles, preparing students for success in the real world of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Principles of Construction Management: Lead engaging lectures and interactive classes to deliver core construction management principles, promoting an environment of critical thinking, discussion, and student participation.
- Student Mentoring: Guide and support students in their academic and professional development, providing timely feedback and mentorship.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and grades, ensuring compliance with academic standards.
- Committee Work: Contribute to departmental and campus-wide committees, helping to shape academic policies and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
- Commencement Participation: Actively participate in commencement and other academic ceremonies, celebrating the achievements of our students.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Dean and the Academic Division Dean.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent and three years of non-teaching work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Curriculum development, teaching, and/or training experience. Experience with hands-on teaching methods. Industry-related certifications.
