Assistant Teaching Professor
The College of Business and Economics invites applications for a non-tenure-track, 9-month assistant teaching professor position in the Department of Business Analytics and Technology Management. Preferred start date January 2026.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold at minimum a master’s degree in a field related to business, economics, data analytics, or technology management. Applicants who have work experience and/or profession certifications in Excel, project management and data analytics are particularly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities: The assistant teaching professor is assigned an instructional workload of 24 credits per academic year (fall and spring semesters). Depending on the needs of the department, assigned courses may include problem solving in business, project management, business analytics, and other courses. Undergraduate advising is part of teaching responsibilities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with a diverse student population and teach effectively in the subject areas and connect students with the business community.
Department of Business Analytics and Technology Management: The Department currently includes 15 full-time faculty members, 12 of whom are tenured or tenure-track, with outstanding research records in supply chain management, project management, MIS, operations management, security, business analytics, and related disciplines. Faculty are also actively engaged with the Baltimore metropolitan business community. The Department offers graduate programs, including an M.S. in Supply Chain Management and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Project Management, as well as undergraduate degrees in Business Systems and Processes, Project Management, and Business Analytics. In addition, the Department supports a variety of core courses for the College, including Business Analytics, Information Technology, and Operations Management.
