Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Finance team within the Division of Business Affairs supports the University's mission, strategic vision, goals, and objectives by providing key financial services efficiently and effectively. The Office of Budget, Planning, and Analysis is responsible for providing university financial reports, projections, analysis, and administering all budgeting functions related to the operation of UNCW.
Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Budget Analyst reviews and monitors the budget for accuracy. Analyzes the university budget and reviews trends or patterns in spending to identify possible efficiencies or areas of concern. Troubleshoots errors and inconsistencies within the budget and provides recommendations to management for improvement. Provides guidance and expertise to campus constituents. Analyzes and reconciles data looking for potential budgetary risks, researches and presents resolutions. Oversees day-to-day budget processes.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A Master's degree and 1 or more years related experience or a Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

- Banner experience
- Budget experience
- SSRS - Server Reporting Services Web Reports experience
