Are you a highly organised professional with excellent communication skills? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support within the Governance Directorate — a core function that ensures the University’s governance structures operate smoothly and efficiently. This role will have a primary focus on providing secretarial support to key university-level governance committees.
This is your opportunity to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial services to key university-level committees, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action item follow-up.
- Deliver efficient, high-level business administrative support across the Directorate.
- Draft and prepare official correspondence, reports, submissions, and documents.
- Handle sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Coordinate internal processes and contribute to the delivery of governance-related projects.
- Support policy publication, ensuring correct formatting, version control, and compliance.

Position Requirements
- Strong administrative experience, ideally in a higher education environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in business software systems (e.g., Word, Excel, email, databases)
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality service.
- Relevant degree or diploma with associated work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. (Desirable)
