About This Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive and organised Research Administration Assistant to support research-related processes and activities at the QCPRRC, part of UQ’s Child Health Research Centre. You’ll be working alongside an internationally recognised multidisciplinary team, coordinating key research administration tasks and contributing to impactful clinical trials.
Based at the Centre for Children’s Health Research, adjacent to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane, this role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where your work will directly support life-changing research.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting research processes including grants, ethics, funding, and outreach
- Coordinating meetings, travel, and finance administration
- Assisting with communication and engagement activities
- Providing secretarial support and managing research-related documentation
- Supporting referencing and citation management using software such as EndNote

About You
You’re a skilled administrator with a passion for supporting research and making a difference. You thrive in a busy, collaborative environment and bring strong organisational and communication skills.
- Year 12 or diploma qualification with relevant experience
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to quickly learn university systems and procedures
- Experience with referencing software such as EndNote
- Familiarity with website content management systems (desirable)
You’ll also need to meet UQ’s mandatory immunisation requirements.
