Job Description

Applications are invited for a full-time Business Support Specialist II position in the Department of Marketing, Trulaske College of Business. This position will perform general administrative and clerical tasks to support the department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to general inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and external constituents
• Updating department webpage
• Scheduling marketing courses; managing permission numbers
• Facilitating faculty recruitment process
• Assisting with departmental budgeting
• Organizing special events; arranging travel for special events
• Supervising student workers and/or graduate assistants
• Maintaining filing systems to ensure compliance.

This is a full time, benefit eligible position that will report to the chair of Department of Marketing.

Shift

Monday – Friday, 8-5

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates will be assessed based on:
• Educational background and relevant coursework
• Prior clerical or administrative experience
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and visitors
• Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, professionalism, and collegiality

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.05 – $23.37/hour
Grade: GGS-007
