About the Role

Step into a high impact Campus Services Manager role shaping the day to day campus experience at Swinburne University of Technology.

The Campus Assets, Facilities and Sustainability (CAFS) team is seeking a Campus Services Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of critical campus services contracts across multiple campuses.

You’ll oversee a large and diverse portfolio spanning cleaning, grounds, waste, fleet, mail and other essential services, driving consistent, high quality service delivery. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you’ll manage performance, optimise contracts and continuously improve frameworks, processes and efficiencies that keep the university operating at its best.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational advice into planned programs and projects, actively engaging with stakeholders across the university to support effective service outcomes.
  • Develop, manage, implement and enforce service plans and strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and ensure services remain fit-for-purpose for current and future campus needs.
  • Proactively manage and drive strong, outcome-based performance across all service contracts through proactive contractor engagement, on-site audits, data analysis and customer feedback.
  • Lead and be accountable for the transition, mobilisation and ongoing management of all service contracts within remit, ensuring seamless operational continuity.
  • Manage and monitor critical dates, milestones and renewal cycles to maintain uninterrupted service delivery and support forward planning.
  • Oversee compliance and quality assurance activities in alignment with Swinburne’s risk management framework, including OH&S, legislative and regulatory obligations, and internal policies. Address and resolve non-conformances identified through internal or external audits
  • Support the delivery of initiatives aligned with Swinburne’s Sustainability Strategy and Net Zero Roadmap, contributing to cost reduction, operational efficiency and improved environmental performance.

Qualifications

  • Progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training
