WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the direction of the Moorpark Student Health Center (SHC) Coordinator and in partnership with the supervisory Psychologist, and as a part of a multidisciplinary team the Case Manager will provide the listed essential duties. This is a grant funded position through a Mental Health grant from the California Community College Chancellor's Office.

Representative Duties

• The most important role of this position is to provide case management and referral services to our diverse student population...
• For students who were hospitalized through Moorpark College SHC, coordinates/schedules appointments...
• Researches potential referral resources...
• Assists students with navigating the health care system...
• Tracks and follows up with students...
• Work with the Moorpark College SHC medical/mental health teams...
• Works with the Moorpark College SHC medical/mental health teams...
• Provides limited direct crisis management services...
• Researches national trends...
• Coordinates with student service programs...
• Collaborates with the Basic Needs Center...
• Collaborates with mental health providers...
• Maintains weekly scheduled appointments...
• Communicates subject matter clearly...
• Adapts methodologies...
• Uses appropriate preparation...
• Demonstrates sensitivity...
• Works cooperatively...
• Uses effective and positive communication skills...

Minimum Qualifications
Masters in Clinical Psychology or social work.
2 years of experience in a similar position

Desirable Qualifications

• Possess demonstrated experience in crisis and behavior risk assessment.
• Possess demonstrated experience with crisis intervention and management.
• Possess knowledge of community agencies and mental health resources.
• Experience in planning Mental Health Outreach and Prevention activities.

Supplemental Information
Compensation:
Professional Expert Contract, non-benefitted, grant funded position.
$60/hour, 20 hours week, 12 months. Earn up to $62,400.00
