About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Oxford Vaccine Group in the Department of Paediatrics as our Clinical Trial Manager.
You will play an important role in the management of our clinical trials and will contribute to vaccine development. This may be an excellent opportunity for an experienced researcher considering a career change into Clinical Trial Management.
You will be responsible for the planning and managing set-up and delivery activities across a large diverse portfolio of clinical trials and provide effective trial management through great communication and organisational skills.
You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology. The Oxford Vaccine Group under the lead of Professor Sir Andrew Pollard has the mission to improve health through immunisation, using expertise in scientific discovery, and the development, clinical testing and laboratory evaluation of vaccines; and to share this knowledge.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract initially for 12 months with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is available. The role does require on site working at least 4 days per week, remote working can be facilitated one day a week.

About you
The successful candidate must be educated to degree level or have previous trials experience. You will ideally have experience of project management in a clinical environment, including applications to regulatory authorities within the UK. This role requires a person with strong organisational skills, experience in managing many complex projects and the ability to work both independently, but also with team members and collaborators at all levels.
