Job Description:
The Developer/Analyst will have responsibility for developing, testing, maintaining, documenting, and implementing application solutions as well as investigating complex issues, evaluating alternatives and recommending appropriate solutions. This role ensures data integrity, accessibility, and security across the university's enterprise systems, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing the student experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Colleague Programming:
- In conjunction with the Business Analyst consult with staff to gather information about needs, objectives, functions, and features requirements
- Performs analysis of client needs to determine, define and document proposed solutions
- Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timetables for developing and implementing solutions
- Develops and implements custom Self-Service forms, batch processes, reports, subroutines, rules, and computed columns using Ellucian's Colleague Studio development tool
- Performs necessary functionality and performance testing to ensure proper functionality of developed solutions
- Develops testing plans and procedures for staff to test developed solutions
- Assists the Business Analyst and staff with the implementation of developed solutions to include training, documentation and troubleshooting.
- Develops and maintains detailed written technical specifications for developed solutions
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about Colleague ERP application
- Develops data extracts from Colleague to integrate with third party systems
- Configures Colleague tools and/or develops custom processes to populate Colleague with data from third party systems or external data sources
Colleague Administration:
- Evaluate, test and install Colleague patches with support from system administrators at Manhattanville
- Conduct analysis of Colleague software updates to determine impact on client system operations and custom development as necessary
- Troubleshoot performance issues with Colleague, Self-Service and other related tools such as Ethos and ILP
Additional Responsibilities:
- Establish standards for data quality, security, and lifecycle management.
- Ensures adherence to FERPA, GDPR, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Performs related work as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Colleague Core Demographics, Financials, Payroll/Human Resources, Student Academic Records, Financial Aid, SelfService, and other modules from both technical and user support perspectives
- Strong Colleague Studio development skills
- Experience with SQL programming and SQLServer databases
- Strong communications and project management skills
- Experience with SQL query development and reporting tools (e.g. Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
- Microsoft Office and M365
- Experience with data integration with third party applications both from and to Colleague.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a policy and procedure driven IT environment.
- Ability to work and participate in a team environment.
- Outstanding work, task and time management aptitudes.
- Excellent information gathering, research, and reporting skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Colleague development and administration
Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary: The annual salary for this position is $90,000-95,000.
Hours Expectation: Full-time, 35 hours per week with some weekend or evening work required, open to primarily remote work
