Communications Coordinator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

The Faculty of English and Faculty of Music are seeking a creative, proactive and strategically minded part-time Communications Coordinator.

They will champion the stories, achievements and activities of both Faculties, including world leading research, degree programmes, public events, student life and alumni successes.

The Communications Coordinator will develop engaging internal and external communications, nurture alumni communities, raise the profile of each Faculty, shape key messages for targeted audiences, and use the most effective communication channels and strategies, ensuring they reach audiences from across the University and beyond.

They will play a key part in shaping how each Faculty engages with prospective students, alumni, donors and the wider public and bring coherence, creativity and impact to the Faculties' public presence.

The role is part time (0.8FTE), comprising 0.6 FTE to the Faculty of English and 0.2 FTE to the Faculty of Music. This position will be fixed term for three years due to limited funding.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, preferably with a degree (or equivalent level of experience) in any area of the arts, social sciences or humanities with experience in communications, publicity, marketing, publishing environment (print or web).
