OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Director, Employee and Labor Relations. The Incumbent under the general supervision of the Vice Chancellor, Human Resources will plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the districtwide employee and labor relations functions of the District including, but not limited to, act as chief negotiator of assigned bargaining units; guidance/coordination of related management activities; progressive discipline and corrective action; employee job performance or behavior concerns, conduct investigations, complaints and grievances in accordance with best practices; and federal, state and local rules, regulations and codes. Perform other duties as assigned. Current Vacancy: Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Offices

Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Friday. This is an Exempt position and is not eligible of over-time.

Salary: Range M-10 $11,765 - $16,101 Monthly $141,180 - $193,212 Annually

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($11,765) or B ($12,236) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of training and experience equivalent to:

A Bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, business administration or a related field, and five (5) years increasingly responsible experience relevant to the duties of position, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Experience in an educational setting preferred.

Master's degree preferred.
