Director, Pathways
The Director, Pathways plays a critical role in supporting high school students' transition into career and transfer pathways by developing and managing instructional support structures, credit-bearing opportunities, and workforce-aligned programs. The director ensures seamless integration of high school coursework, dual enrollment, prior learning assessments, and workforce credentials within CCBC's guided pathways, leveraging credit and continuing education integration. This role is essential in fostering a structured, supportive academic environment that equips high school students with the skills, credentials, and opportunities needed to transition successfully into higher education and the workforce.
Master's degree and five (5) years of experience in academic affairs, student success initiatives, or instructional program development, preferably in a community college required. Knowledge of guided pathways across the curriculum, including integration with continuing education. Previous experience with curricular development, including transitioning coursework from high school, prior learning assessment, and between credit and continuing education, preferred. Teaching experience preferred.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
- Collaborate with faculty convenors and academic leaders on guided pathways from high school to CCBC.
- Research and communicate innovations in guided pathways.
- Prepare, analyze and provide reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the College with students, parents, and professional organizations.
