Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Faculty member must have expertise in Foundations/Fundamentals and teaching clinical skills
• Ability to work independently while adhering to high expectations and academic standards for teaching
• Fluency in a variety of educational software programs preferred
• Provide student advising service and support to ensure academic success
• Understanding of competencies required for specific courses
• Excellent professional communications skills
• Excellent oral, written and listening skills

Experience

• Successful applicant will have 1-3 years of experience teaching in a BSN program or equivalent experience.
• Strong clinical nursing skills
• Experience with classroom teaching, clinical teaching, test construction, leadership of committees and teamwork is expected
• Experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment is helpful
• Applying diverse instructional strategies utilizing multiple forms of technology in response to learner demographics and learning styles

Education

Required: MSN

Preferred: DNP/PhD
