Education Support Officer
About the Role
The University of Sydney delivers its four-year graduate entry Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the School of Rural Health in Dubbo and from its Camperdown campus in Sydney. The Dubbo Stream of the MD aims to strengthen the rural medical workforce. It admits 24 students each year, giving preference to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and rural origin candidates. The MD curriculum integrates preclinical sciences with clinical sciences, clinical skills, population health, ethics, medical law and professionalism.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Education Support Officer to join our friendly team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education support services. This role plays a key part in supporting academic and teaching staff, ensuring the smooth running of learning and teaching activities.
Please note that the position is located in Dubbo NSW.

Travel within Dubbo, occasional out-of-hours work, and regular manual handling tasks are requirements of the role.
Your key responsibilities will be to
- provide broad education administrative and operational support to the Dubbo Stream MD
- co-ordinate teaching-related processes such as timetables, clinical placements, assessments and evaluation
- maintain databases, contact lists and course materials related to program delivery
- assist with the recruitment of clinical teachers and supervisors.
About You

- tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or relevant experience in education support
- a demonstrated awareness of the principles of confidentiality and privacy and ability to provide tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive, confidential matters
- good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of learning management systems is highly desirable
- skills in the use of Microsoft Office 365 including PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Word
- compliance with the Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers) Order 2021
- a current driver's licence, or the ability to travel to different locations in Dubbo.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
Pre-employment checks
