What We're Looking For
The Employee Experience Specialist supports the design, delivery, and administration of employee engagement and recognition initiatives that strengthen culture, connection, and retention across the University. This role leads recognition programs, coordinates employee experience events, and provides data-driven insights and operational support for employee engagement strategies. The Specialist works collaboratively with HR partners and campus stakeholders to ensure a consistent, meaningful employee experience.
A bachelor's degree and less than one year of relevant work experience are required. Three years of relevant experience is preferred.
Additional experience or education will be considered in lieu of one another.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Awardco recognition platform, including program design, communications, nomination processes, and ongoing evaluation
- Maintain vendor relationships, track participation metrics, and reconcile program budgets
- Design, manage, and execute University-wide employee recognition programs and events, including Staff Awards and the Milestone Luncheon
- Support and implement employee engagement strategies aligned with institutional priorities and 'Great Colleges to Work For' initiatives
- Provide consultative guidance to HR partners on engagement and recognition best practices
- Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership on engagement trends, participation, and outcomes
- Support internal HR colleagues with the planning and execution of major employee experience events, including Employee Appreciation Night and Fall and Spring Staff Meetings
- Lead and support internal HR initiatives such as Move2BU, HR job shadowing, onboarding of new HR employees, and departmental engagement activities (e.g., holiday initiatives)
- Provide general operational and project support to sustain consistent employee experience operations
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
